Detonations with One-Step Chemistry

One-dimensional Simulations

The following graphs display front pressure histories of one-dimensional detonation simulations for the popular case

  \gamma=1.2,\; E_0=50,\; Q_0=50\;.

The limit of absolute stability for this configuration is around 1.73. The numerical method is Strang-splitting, which uses a hybrid Roe-HLL scheme with MUSCL reconstruction as hydrodynamic transport scheme. Automatic time step adjustment for CCFL = 0.9.
